About Finance the Ride

Finance the Ride is an Australian finance referral service. We help people and businesses get in front of a licensed finance broker for cars, utes, vans, caravans, motorhomes, motorbikes, boats, jet skis, trailers, horse floats, trucks and business equipment. You tell us what you need in a short online enquiry, and with your consent we pass it to a licensed broker who contacts you to talk through your options.

What we do

  • Take your enquiry: a 60-second form covering what you want to finance, how much, your work and your credit. There's no credit check to enquire.
  • Connect you with a licensed broker: a broker usually calls back within one business day.
  • Publish plain-English guides: articles on how lenders assess new jobs, visas, ABN income, Centrelink payments, past credit issues and more.

What we don't do

  • We don't lend money.
  • We don't hold an Australian Credit Licence, and we don't give credit assistance or credit advice. That's the broker's role.
  • We don't make credit decisions or promise approval, rates or timeframes. Those depend on the lender's assessment of your situation.

How it works

  1. You enquire. Tell us what you're financing and a bit about your situation at Talk to a broker.
  2. A licensed broker calls you, usually within one business day, and explains the options that could suit you.
  3. You decide. If you want to go ahead, the broker handles the application with a suitable lender. There's no obligation.

How we're paid

Enquiring through Finance the Ride is free. If you go ahead with finance, the broker may pay us a referral fee. This doesn't change what you pay.

  • Vehicle and recreation buyers: cars, caravans, motorbikes, boats, jet skis and trailers, new or used, from a dealer or a private seller.
  • People who've recently changed jobs: including those still on probation or moving between PAYG and ABN work.
  • Visa holders and New Zealand citizens living and working in Australia.
  • People with past credit issues: such as missed payments or defaults on their credit file.
  • Self-employed people, ABN holders and businesses: including low doc vehicle and equipment finance.
